After
graduating from the University of Louisville School
of Dentistry in 1985, Dr. Gary L. Griffin D.M.D. went
on to practice at Baptist Hospital East for ten years.
His practice moved to its current location in 1995 under
the name St. Matthews Dental Care Group.
Dr.
Griffin is member of the Academy of Laser Dentistry,
the American Dental Association, the American Academy
of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the Kentucky Dental Association.
He also belongs to numerous societies and study groups.
He is licensed to practice general dentistry in Kentucky.
Through
several top institutions, Dr. Griffin has received additional,
specialized education.
- Dr.
Griffin has achieved advanced proficiency in using
the Nd-YAG laser from the Academy of Laser Dentistry.
- He
was awarded an Educator's Certificate from the Academy
of Laser Dentistry and the University of California,
San Francisco.
- He
is an accreditation candidate with the American Academy
of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Griffin completed his conscious sedation training
at Einstein Medical College, Monteforie Hospital,
New York. Because not all general dentists are certified
to use conscious sedation, his training places Dr.
Griffin in a special group whose members are able
to more effectively help patients with complex problems
or fears.
- Dr.
Griffin was granted a certificate after completing
his aesthetic training at UCLA.
He has also received training from Orognathic Bioesthetics
International and the Dawson
Center for Advanced Dental Studies.
A
clinical instructor and lecturer with the Aesthetic
Advantage at New York University, the University
of Kentucky, and West Palm Beach Florida, Dr. Griffin
lectures nationally on laser, reconstructive, and aesthetic
dentistry.
